Hi there. I am Danielle and I am a passionate and enthusiastic Primary Teacher working within East Ayrshire. I love spending time with children and enjoy supporting them in learning new things and gaining confidence.
I am available in the evening Monday to Friday.
I have taught within the same school in East Ayrshire since qualifying in 2019.
During my teaching degree I had placements in nursery, P1, P4 and P6.
Since qualifying I have taught P2 for 3 years, P2/3 for 1 year and did a cover timetable for P1-7 for a year.
Last year I spent the summer in the South of France being an au-pair for a family. I looked after children aged 7 and 11 and supported them with their English language knowledge.
I have a niece and 2 nephews who I support with their learning.
I have experience of tutoring Maths during COVID providing online sessions for a P6 child and have also tutored a P4 child in literacy.
I would like to meet to discuss the aims for the tutoring service and this would allow me to gain an understanding of the individual needs of the child.
I believe building strong relationships is a key component of learning, therefore I feel it is important to build a strong relationship with the child and their family for the tutoring experience to be a success.
All children learn differently, and I would find out what methods are going to work best for each individual child. I would use a range of resources to support learning. I am a highly reflective practitioner and have the ability to adapt my teaching to ensure that children have a good understanding of concepts.
I think it’s very important that children want to take part in the tutoring sessions so I would ensure that they enjoy sessions by using various fun tasks and resources to engage the child.
