Maths Lessons in Acton

I am an experienced DBS cleared maths tutor with relevant qualifications , (including a First Class BSc Honours Degree in Mathematics) based in West London offering One to One Mathematics Tuition. I offer online tuition or tuition in your home.

Do you want to give your child the best chance to get ahead in Mathematics? Are you worried what may lay ahead for them in their academic future? Maybe they have been struggling with maths and you are worried that they may fall further behind? Or perhaps they have an aptitude for the subject and you would like to ensure that they stay ahead? Have you considered tuition? If so then I can help...

I am a member of The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and I am also a member of The Royal Statistical Society. I offer maths tuition for Year 5 to GCSE pupils as well as adult learners. I have full professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Online lessons are £30 for 1 hour tuition (using Bitpaper interactive whiteboard and skype).

Face to face lessons are either £50 for a 90 minute lesson or £60 for a two hour lesson.

Tutoring Experience

I am a full time tutor and I have been teaching for over 10 years. I have worked with pupils from Year 5 to GCSE. I have worked with the current GCSE syllabus since it started and pretty much know the exams inside out.

I write most of my lessons myself. Each topic is carefully crafted and designed for delivery by tuition. I have included many of the questions in them from the actual GCSE papers from the last few years and in the same format so a pupil knows what to expect and is used to the style of the actual exam papers.

I have also helped adults wishing to improve their numeracy skills either for personal development or for their career (for example I have helped prospective teachers prepare for the numeracy skills test required to become a teacher).

Tutoring Approach

I consider myself to be open and approachable with the ability to explain concepts to pupils in a clear way that they can understand. For a tuition plan to work a pupil should enjoy (or at least not dread!) lessons, so I try to make the lessons as interesting as possible.
