I am a highly experienced teacher with experience helping students achieve exam success with a proven track record for assisting students in obtaining 4 and above grades. I am able to tutor across a range of levels and abilities and have experience teaching at Primary, Secondary and FE with students taking resits.

Tutoring Experience

I am a vibrant, enthusiastic hard working Secondary School teacher with a vast amount of experience in the teaching field, not only in the classroom but outside also. I thoroughly enjoy teaching Mathematics and have been successful as a teacher in raising the levels and abilities of all of my students. No student is the same and therefore I believe there is no set method in teaching a particular subject. I believe a 'one method fits all' philosophy negates a student's individual gifts and challenges. By adopting tailored methods best suited to an individual's needs I have been successfully able to raise a student's confidence and ability.

Tutoring Approach

Drawing on my teaching experience to date, I have developed vital interpersonal skills enabling me to easily build rapports with my students. This is crucial to teaching students at all levels and ages. I enjoy my profession immensely. Not only do I help to achieve higher examination grades for older students but, just as important, I aim to make the subject both fascinating and stimulating as I have learnt during my years as a teacher that this approach is most likely to bring success. I very much believe in a strong exam technique and that the dissection of previous exam questions is of vital importance to any revision or as a test of understanding.
