I am a recent graduate in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford, following on from a First-Class BSc in Biology from the University of St Andrews. During the first two years of my degree, I took modules in Geography and Sustainable Development alongside my Biology modules. I have also worked as a Research Assistant for the SalGo Team at the University of Oxford, specialising in Evolutionary Ecology and Matrix Population Modelling, working on a project that led to a paper which was published in a leading scientific journal.

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience in teaching students from 7+ exams up to a university level. For younger students, I have taught Maths, English and Science up to 13+ Level and helped several to secure places at top independent schools. I have numerous hours of teaching for both GCSE and A Level in Biology and Geography, having achieved the top grades at both levels in the two subjects myself. As well as this, I have supported over 20 students with their applications to Biology, Biological Natural Sciences, and Geography degrees at top universities, and can cover every step of the process from personal statements to admissions tests and interviews.

Tutoring Approach

I enjoy teaching and pushing my students to achieve their best, whilst keeping lessons stress-free and enjoyable. There can be a lot of content to cover, so it is imperative that students get a good understanding of the subject to build strong foundations from the start. It is important to spend some time understanding mark schemes, particularly at GCSE and A Level, and I ensure that this is done in an engaging and accessible way. With these strong foundations and consistent repetition of key concepts throughout tutorials, I aim to help students to build confidence in their ability to tackle any questions that they are faced with!
