Hi there,

I am a dedicated drum tutor offering private tuition to students of all levels. I have been a professional musician and teacher for 15+ years and have particular specialities in jazz, rock, world and classical styles.

I hold very close to my heart the idea that while music can have a wide variety of outcomes, the key purpose of music is to enrich and enhance peoples’ lives, equipping them with the tools to face obstacles and uncertainty with determination and resolve. No body of instruments is more vital and direct in its pursuit of joyful humanity than the percussion family and that is why I have dedicated my life to the mastery of music through drum kit and percussion.

I have a thirst for learning that will never be quenched and as such feel a great connection with the learning experience. I hope that this empathy with my students has led to countless lifetimes of enrichment and joy through connection with music.

Fun and wonder is as important to some as the satisfaction of improving is to others. I work with my students to determine what is important to them about making music and what they want to get out of their relationship with music.
