I studied Mathematics University of Cambridge; graduated in June 2019. Available to tutor all year. Familiar with new A level specifications. Also have experience preparing candidates for Oxbridge Interviews, STEP, MAT. Can also provide personal statement advice.
I'm a polite, fun and easy person to get along with. I have 10+ years tutoring experience, something I really enjoy doing alongside my current roles. I read Mathematics Undergraduate degree at Queens' College, Cambridge. In my years there I continued teaching one-to-one lessons in the evenings, weekends, and weekdays. This is something I'm very passionate about doing, and I found it was a nice break to my university studies.
Previous roles:
BMLL, Data Scientist (2017): Modelling stochastic financial processes, and temporal clustering of market states based on inherent market micro-structure features.
University of Cambridge, Mathematical Tripos (2016)
Alphasense Ltd, Data Scientist (2016): Coding in Python on Linux OS, representing complex data structure in Convolution Neural Networks and Bayesian Neural Nets.
Belfast Royal Academy (2007-2014): High achieving in academia, but also participating in a range of extra-curricular interests that have helped cultivate my social, communication and leadership skills (Rugby, Music, Chess, Bridge, Drama, Duke Of Edinburgh's Award (Silver) )
Coding (2016-present): Python, bash scripting using command line interfaces and text editors, proficient using Linux systems. I also use LaTeX, typesetting Mathematics assignments for students.

My in depth and extensive knowledge of the subject has been collectively organized and applied in a way that reveals many shortcuts to all standard syllabus questions on GCSE and A level examination boards. I produce hand outs, and in-depth solutions covering fine points and aiding retention. By assessing the students capabilities in the subject by a series of weekly assignments, I am able to pinpoint exactly where to direct our focus. I also encourage the student to think independently. Complex problems, when solved, can bring a sense of unique satisfaction unlike no other.
Many of my lessons take place online via Skype. Students find this to be a very positive experience, and learning from the comfort of their own home.
