Christine's Feedback

Christine has been providing tuition support for two of my client with health and educational needs. One is a GCSE student and she is working very hard to support her with her preparations so that she can achieve around one to two grades higher than what she is currently achieving. The other student is in year 8 and has difficulties with attention and focus and who does not enjoy English but Christine has managed to build his confidence and interest in English and the student has now moved up a set in English. Christine is like gold dust. She is very organised and reliable and will always provide advance notice of the tuition schedule and any changes in the schedule. THis is really important as for both students, having reliability and consistency in lessons is important. Christine is an excellent tutor and also has sensitivity around the emotional needs of a child and to tap into their motivations and fears and help them to address this so that they can move forward in their learning. I work with a lot of tutors for various clients and I would say Christine has been one of the best tutors not just from a knowledge point of view but also in udnerstanding a child's holistic needs.

Christine has been really creative in thinking of ways to engage my son. She’s flexible and really committed and his obstinate dislike of reading is starting to thaw.

Christine has been an excellent tutor and has provided help with English Literature and Drama study and revision for GCSE. Ronnie was struggling with written exams for these subjects and not seeing results in line with their ability. The last set of mocks saw grades improve radically and Christine has been such a support and made lessons so much fun.

A gem !

Christine was an absolute lifesaver in my A-level Drama course- I had always been iffy about how I'd manage in Drama as it is my only essay based subject. After a year of doing my best on my own, and hearing about how the year before us had all done horribly, I decided I needed some extra help. Both my teachers quickly noticed how the quality of my essays improved as I gravitated towards the top of the class. I don't know what exactly it was about her help that proved so effective- maybe her commitment to finding a way to make my ideas work, her extensive specialised knowledge in the exact areas of drama my course needed, her english skills helping me put on paper the castles I was building in my head or the sheer amount of work she put into helping me find precedents and creating materials to help me develop my essay skills. One thing that I'm sure cant have hurt was the intermittent presence of a certain feline friend who could always be counted on to keep me alert and energised. I may not have had the chance to actually do my exams but I am sure that if I had, Christine's help would have been a major foundation of my success.

Christine is probably the most organised and focused tutor i have ever met. She agreed lesson plans , is extremely encouraging to my son and on point in understanding the curriculum and what is needed to be successful in English. Her passion for the subject is inspirational and transpires to the student. My experience of her is that she has adapted her tutoring to the needs of my son. She is also unflappable. I highly recommend Christine as an English tutor.
