Hi there, I am a native speaker from China Shanghai, a qualified Mandarin teacher with 12 years' experience. My passion are to make Mandarin learning fun, easy and effective and explore modern and traditional Chinese culture, food and travel.

I am very patient, fun, easy-going, optimistic and open minded.
I love cooking, traveling, movies, listening to music, different cultures, riding bikes, learning dance, instruments, art, going to the theatre, design, gardening…

Tutoring Experience

I have 12 years teaching experience of Mandarin to speakers of other languages. I taught 1 on 1, 1 on 2 classes and group classes in Chinese language schools, Australia and UK.

My students are from all over the world, all ages from 2 to 65 years old, they are working professionals, housewives, university intern students, teenagers, children.

I love teaching Chinese to help students learn more about China, Chinese cultures, Chinese language and help students to adapt to life in China more quickly. It is a truly rewarding job to see students improve, get confidence in using Chinese and get adapted to China's life well.

Tutoring Approach

I use a task-based method and a variety of methods that depend on your Chinese language goal and learning styles, we can discuss what learning styles best suit you. I will try my best to teach and guide you, develop your interest and to be self motivated, get your language goal. If you want to improve your speaking and listening, I will use 80%-100% Mandarin and encourage you speak Mandarin as much as possible during the class.
