Chelsea, 32
I graduated from Newcastle University in 2016 with a degree in Japanese studies.
I am based in a small Cambridgeshire village and can provide both in-person tuition as well as online lessons via Teams, Skype, Zoom etc.
My hobbies include watching East Asian dramas, taking cat pictures, walking and playing games online.
I teach several students of various levels throughout the week and I have over 10 years experience in teaching Japanese both face to face and online.
I have previously given large open format language taster sessions at events and give talks on Japanese culture and basic advise on where to start with language learning.
I have a flexible approach to teaching so that we can work at a pace that suits you. I will adapt each lesson to cover new and exciting topics with the aim to have week on week progression but also make sure knowledge is retained/ understood before moving on, we can always rewind and recap when ever you need to.
I will build your confidence and create an atmosphere where it is absolutely ok to make mistakes - it's all part of the language learning journey.
I try to make lessons fun and engaging in addition to text book work. I believe I can offer a friendly and casual environment to learn in.
