Hello,
I am graduated from UCL in History of Art and restoration.
I have been teaching and tutoring children from reception up to A’levels for 10 years in Kensington.
My students have achieved very high grades in French as well as scholarships. I believe in fun activities to learn even at GCSE level.
I can assist children with general homework to help them becoming more independent, I can also help fixing a short term problem for a few weeks and can prepare for exams (written work and interview technique). I am used to work with children with English as a second language.
It is a long day for school children, and I generally prefer to approach subjects through play rather than sit them down at a desk when possible
For English, I love doing role play or brainstorming activities,
For maths, I love using every day objects such as measuring tapes, jugs of water to understand measurements as well as real money to play "shop", or cinema timetables to learn reading the time....
For French, games, conversation and songs are really fun and easier to remember. All of my students have had amazing results achieving high grades and even scholarships.
