About me section
I am a friendly, patient, highly-qualified primary school teacher with over 10 years classroom experience. I live with my husband and my 18 month old daughter in Bristol. I love surfing and going camping with family and friends.
I have over 10 years classroom teaching experience. I have experience working predominantly in both KS1 and KS2. I have experience with children with a variety of educational needs and I am particularly passionate about supporting those children with dyslexia. I aim to make sure every child feels proud of their achievements.
Every child needs a cheerleader, a tutor who understands them and champions their achievements. I believe that all children are unique. I pride myself in getting to know the children, identifying their learning styles and requirements, and creating a warm, nurturing environment conducive to learning. I am proud of my ability to engage children with learning and aim to make my lessons active and encouraging.I adapt each of my tutoring sessions according to the needs of each student, slowly building their confidence through scaffolding, encouragement, challenges and ultimately fostering independence so they can be their best. I enjoy tutoring because it is rewarding, every child is different and that makes teaching refreshing.
