I am in my final year of university, studying a degree in physics and applied mathematics. Throughout Covid lockdowns I noticed my younger siblings struggling and losing interest in school work, so I assisted them by tutoring them in the three sciences and maths, discovering an interest in education I didn’t know I had.

Frustration and self doubt would hinder anyone in learning a new skill, especially a young person. An approach that pays attention to frustration levels when coving new territory, and celebrates strengths to promote confidence can foster a productive learning environment.
