I have recently completed my PhD in mathematics, and am now working in medical physics with the NHS. I love to help students to develop their skills in mathematics and physics and to realise that these subjects are very enjoyable. Everyone has the ability to understand and enjoy these topics, but the learning process happens in different ways for different people - that's why I employ a flexible approach to teaching. My passions are Physics, Languages and outdoor activities. I am the second of 4 children and have experience tutoring my younger brother in A Level Maths, and many other students from Year 1 to A Level.
I was part of the Air Training Corps for 4 years where I gained teaching experience and have always enjoyed teaching students who are willing to learn. I have had a lot of experience teaching my younger siblings and have enjoyed helping them to complete their goals. I also teach courses based on my research to students from years 9/10 and year 6 (primary school). I have also tutored students for Primary School Maths, IB (MYP), and A Level Maths.
Very flexible! I will identify particular problems based on individual needs and change tutoring style and content to fit with the needs of the student. I tend to favour a more practical approach, where students are asked to solve problems on a whiteboard so we can identify particular issues. Then I am able to see which topics we require a detailed lesson for.
I am also happy to offer shared lessons of up to 4, for students who want to work with friends or siblings studying for the same exams, at my normal hourly rate.
