I am a part-time tutor, dyslexia specialist and certified handwriting teacher, working from home. My most recent education experience was working as a teacher and music coordinator in an outstanding London primary school. Prior to this I specialised in teaching children with specific learning difficulties (SpLD), gaining a Level 5 qualification in SpLD from the prestigious Fairley House School. I have also delivered specialist dyslexia tuition in clinics, at learners' homes and from my own home. Furthermore, I have previously taught in one of the top performing state schools in London; the school was ranked in the top 1% in the country for progress.
I have a keen interest in SEND, early reading and spelling development however tutor all primary subjects including writing and maths. Additionally, I can support with SATs revision, homework and study skills. I am also a certified Magic Link Handwriting teacher.
I am a runner and have completed half marathons in London. I also enjoy music, especially watching live music, playing the piano and singing. I often visit the theatre to watch both plays and musicals.

I am passionate about achievement for all. I believe that my core strengths lie in communicating with and inspiring and supporting others so that they can reach their potential. I believe that a multi-sensory approach can bring learning to life.
My real passions lie within diversity and inclusion, mental health and wellbeing and special educational needs; I thoroughly enjoyed studying and being awarded the level 5 qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties.
Throughout my career in teaching, I have fought for and been an advocate for young people, irrespective of their background. I am motivated to empower our youth and give them the tools and skills to break down their barriers and change their futures. Every individual should be given the chance to flourish.
As a parent of a child with barriers to learning and anxiety, I have first-hand experience of the challenges that face children therefore I am passionate about the delivery of high-quality, personalised learning for young people.
