I am a fully qualified teacher with 16 years' experience working in the education sector. I enjoy the rewarding nature of tutoring and helping each of my students to shine.
I have a degree in English and French and have a wide range of experience in education, having worked both as a teacher and teaching assistant in secondary school and college. In particular I have worked closely with students with special educational needs such as dyslexia, ADHD and autism. I gained my teaching qualification while teaching at a further education college, where I taught GCSE English and Functional Skills English to teenagers and adult learners. I have tutored from Key Stage 3 to A level.
I'm an empathetic and patient person, and I care a lot about helping my students to achieve their best. I love my subject area and enjoy finding engaging and fun ways to help students learn. I like the one-to-one nature of tutoring as it means I can tailor learning to the student's needs and strengths.
