I studied a Master in Physics with Philosophy for four years at the University of York (1st in Physics, 2.1 Overall). I Also studied for a PhD in Theoretical Physics for 2 years in the same institution. As well as being a native Spanish speaker, I am fluent in English and have lived in the UK for over 19 years.
I have been tutoring for more than 3 years now and so far the feedback is very encouraging. Since the social restrictions were introduced, I have been tutoring online as well. I also have taught Spanish, Physics and Maths informally for more than 10 years. I trained 10+ groups of staff for Lloyds TSB during 2003 - 2005.
I believe better understanding yields better knowledge and prioritise explanation over memory and practise. Although pnemonics and practise facilitate performance, it is creating the appropriate intellectual habits that provides better insight, observational and problem solving capabilities. These capabilities ultimately translate into a greater ability for analysis and attention to detail which are much sought after as trasferable skills beyond schooling.
