I am a committed, enthusiastic and passionate qualified maths teacher with a proven track record of improving pupil achievement and confidence in maths. I am able to offer a personalised learning experience that meets the needs of individual students - whether that is supporting students or adults who are finding keeping up in lessons difficult, developing confidence or aiming to improve year 6 SATs or GCSE results. I can offer tuition in a 1-2-1 or small group setting, either in your home, in public or online via video conferencing. Tuition is available after school during term time, during the day and evenings in the school holidays, and at weekends all year round. In addition to tutoring those currently attending school, I am happy to work with home educated students, college students and adult learners among others.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in secondary schools for over 10 years, alongside tutoring primary and secondary aged students as well as adult learners. I currently teach in a local secondary school and have current knowledge of the ever changing curriculum.

Tutoring Approach

I absolutely love maths! I want my students and tutees to love maths too. When we enjoy something we learn more, we want to know more. I base my teaching on this method. To understand maths we need to understand why it works, for example why we solve an equation in a certain way. Bringing a conceptual understanding into maths helps students make sense of it and therefore retain their learning and improve their confidence and enjoyment.
