I am a highly experienced Primary School Teacher at a Prep School in London where I am also Head of English. I have experience teaching all subjects across KS1 and KS2 as well as supporting students through the 7+ and 11+.
I have been a teacher for 8 years and I have worked at both state and prep schools. Prior to this, I worked as a Teaching Assistant at an Independent school in South-West London. I undertook my undergraduate degree in Sociology and I have a Primary PGCE, where I achieved 'outstanding.' I am a specialist phonics teacher and have a general love for all things English!
I am a patient, calm and approachable individual. I believe in providing a fun and positive learning environment for your child, where learning is something to embrace, not fear. All individuals learn in different ways and my approach is adapted to suit the needs of your child. I always build strong rapport with my students and ensure they are happy and ready to learn.
I am available in term time during weekday evenings. I can offer weekday daytimes during non-term time holidays to suit your needs.
During our first session, I work to understand how your child learns best and provide a motivational environment to support their success. I have experience supporting students through the 7+ and 11+, too.
