A recent Law graduate who enjoys teaching students to hone their analytical skills and exam technique.
I am hard-working tutor who understands the need for students to balance academia with professional development and extra-curricular activities.
Alongside my tutoring experience detailed below, I have a training contract with an international law firm at their London office, and enjoy Muay Thai, football and chess.
Academically, I achieved 100% in both my AS and A2 English Literature coursework pieces and was awarded an A* overall. As I sat my A2 exam in January, I achieved the A* 3 months early.
I subsequently won my sixth form's Award for English.
A Level English Literature (2011 - present):
5 students per year each taught 2 hour sessions for 6 - 10 weeks.
GCSE English Literature (2012 - present)
1 student per year each taught 2 hour sessions for 4 - 6 weeks.
Practice, practice, practice. I train my students in the fine art of analysing language, structure and form whilst exposing them to a range of interpretations from expert commentary.
Students are then presented with a large volume of exam-style questions to practice forming arguments and essay plans quickly. Once mastered, students are then required to write 3 essays per week for one month.
Most students are able to achieve at least a strong B grade from this approach, with existing B grade students pushing well into the A / A* category.
