cavin was the first tutor i chose mainly because of hes friendly face. my first lesson with cavin was easy even tho i was nervous. he tailers each student via their needs. from the get go cavin knew i had ADHD and struggled with learning. he realised i was a visual learner and taught me biology in a way i could see it. everything was easy as he wittled things down and made them easy for me teaching me biology but comparing things to things in everyday life which is priceless when trying to learn something new. he is the most friendly person and doesnt judge anyone regardless of your knowledge. he even use to bring me a coffee if i was tierd. i am so greatful for him and very sad to end my timing with him. he didnt just teach me biology but he taught me to be confident and believe in my self. i use to doubt my self alot but he always reminded me that i am capable and i can do it! he is worth every penny because he didnt just teach me biology but he taught me to believe in my self. thank you cavin you are one of a kind.

Cavin is nice and knowledgeable. He likes to use diagrams to illustrate different topics and thus it is easier for my daughter to understand/memorise. In addition, he always shares the exam techniques which help my daughter a lot. Thank you Cavin.

Cavin has been a great tutor. He explains topics in a simple manner and always provides exam style questions for each topic, which is really good practice for exams.

We found Cavin to be a very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and engaging tutor for A-Level Chemistry and Biology. Patiently explains concepts and questions which are challenging in an easy to understand manner and provides excellent resources and questions for practice.

Very professional and responsive to need

Cavin is an excellent tutor, but unfortunately we will not be continuing lessons because my daughter is a special needs student and unfortunately learning style did not match. I was very happy with Cavin prompt response to all my questions and willingness to adapt. Thanks Cavin.

Cavin taught our son biology in preparation for his private school entrance exam. Thanks to Cavin for biology, our son did very well and passed the exams with flying colours. We only had a couple of lessons in a relatively short period of time but nonetheless, Cavin managed to cover nearly a year's curriculum. He was organised, on time, and very diligent. The work time was well planned and focussed on the lesson week's objective, with a good level of homework and expectations. Our son really enjoyed learning with Cavin. Cavin is a brilliant A Level Science tutor. He has great knowledge of the subject and what is expected in the structure of answer required to attain the marks. From 2017 up till present (2019), Cavin has helped me through my AS studies and currently my A2 studies, I am now achieving A grades in Biology. He is very patient, listens to students needs and wants and provides great resources needed to ensure that the student feels confident in the struggled topic area. Cavin is very patient and makes understanding the workload very easy, I highly recommend him.

His teaching methodology is exceptional. He goes an extra mile in his lesson preparation and delivery and he puts emphasis on how to analyse and dissect exam questions (answering techniques and what to look for i.e. what to do to get maximum marks on a question). If l had 10 children, I would still ask Cavin to tutor all of them.

Cavin didn't tutor my son for long due to a change in circumstances, while he did I found he quickly gave my son the confidence he'd been lacking. Cavin was extremely well prepared and his passion for science shone.

I hope you've been having a nice summer. I thought I'd let you know that I got into my first choice uni - the University of Exeter to study Maths and I truly couldn't be happier! I got a B in Biology, which I really didn't expect in the slightest and I couldn't have them without your help, so thank you very much! I was only a few UMS' off of an A - so I was really really happy with that, considering last year, I had just scraped a C, so I basically moved up two whole grades. I really thought I would have failed, and I was mentally prepared to do so, but needless to say I am over the moon with the outcome and with the fact that I didn't have to go through clearing. So thank you once again. I hope you are well and that you continue to enjoy your summer.

I would never have achieved a B and a C in my units 4 & 5 and I really thank you soooooooooooo much for that . And thanks to your input, my University 1st choice course - Bangor, MSc Marine Biology - has accepted my application and I start in September!!! I would never have achieved this without your help and I will continue to follow your advice in learning and revision and hopefully succeed in achieving my MSc degree with a great standard!

Cavin has been an excellent teacher that my daughter Jessica always felt comfortable with. She said he was very clear and made the subject matter easy to understand. As a result she caught up all of the Unit 1 Biology A level she missed through illness and gave her confidence for the exam. It's why we ask him to continue teaching her next year.
