Currently teaching Year 12 and Year 13 Politics at Surbiton High School - a prestigious girls' independent school in South-West London. Very familiar with the Edexcel specification for the subject and have built up a wide range of resources and activities over my 7 years teaching the subject to help students be successful in this course.

Tutoring Experience

I am in my seventh year of teaching having worked previously at the Bluecoat School in Oldham, Manchester for one year and then at St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College in London, also for one year. I completed my training at selective secondary schools in the Manchester area, including half a year at the high-performing Manchester Grammar School. In that time I have taught a very broad range of abilities, helping all students to achieve above or beyond the grade needed for university.

Tutoring Approach

Exam focused and interactive, using a variety of mediums to enhance engagement and learning. For improving exam skills, I will focus on working through essay plans with students and giving in-depth feedback on essays to show where marks are being gained and lost.
