I am an experienced and fully qualified secondary school teacher. I have a kind and caring nature and a bright and positive demeanour; which I use to help draw the best out of those with whom I work. I have excellent communication skills and maintain high standards. I am highly professional, extremely reliable, and hard-working. Tutoring Experience

I have worked as a fully qualified teacher of Modern Languages, Art History and tutor in a highly competitive, selective London Independent school, an Ofsted outstanding rates primary school and an all boys comprehensive, across my 12 years teaching career. The past two years, I have worked as a full time private tutor, supporting students in preparing for 11+ and independent schools exams. I have an excellent reputation and very good working relationship with students and colleagues alike.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor my sessions to the specific needs of the individual; setting objectives that are reviewed at the end of each lesson. I like to break topics down into manageable chunks to avoid a student feeling overwhelmed and to build confidence. I enjoy using a variety of activities to encourage prolonged engagement and aid learning.
