Brindley

My name is Brindley Removed, I am 29 years old living in Holmfirth with my partner and 2 cats.
I have been teaching for over 8 years in primary schools and am currently an EYFS lead.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently in my 8th year of teaching at a primary school level. I have experience of teaching all age groups from 4-11 and am now in my 3rd year of leading EYFS.
I have a strong knowledge of the Primary English and Maths curriculum and have experience in taking children through standardised assessments.
I have experience of working in SEN schools and supporting the SEN lead in primary schools, I have both written and used EHCP's and support plans.
I have a level 3 qualification in Elklan, a recognised speech and language program.

Tutoring Approach

My fundamental belief is that children learn when they feel safe, liked and understood which is why I strive to build a positive relationship with all of my pupils.
I am passionate about reading and how early reading skills can support us in all areas of our life. Reading and understanding is at the forefront of my teaching. Working in EYFS has allowed me to be creative towards my teaching approach and allow the child to lead all the while cementing the foundations of learning. Over the years, I have gained a bank of knowledge on how best to support children with their barriers to learning and I will whole heartedly celebrate every achievement of the children in my care.
