I have a PhD in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in the United States. Personally I'm friendly and supportive and easy to get along with.
I have been working as a private tutor for more than 14 years. I have taught at different levels including A level Biology and Chemistry and University level Medicinal Chemistry and Biochemistry. I'm familiar with all of the different exam boards (AQA, OCR, EdExcel, IB, CIE). I've also helped students with a variety of EPQ assignments.
Before becoming a tutor I worked in universities for almost 18 years teaching chemistry and biochemistry.
It is vital for students to have confidence in their ability. I try to help students to study in the most efficient way in order to achieve the best results and to realize their true potential. I like to use problem sets and former exams as much as possible. I have a range of textbooks and teaching resources that I can use. I am happy to have an initial informal meeting to discuss the students requirements before lessons begin. I am always happy to discuss a students progress with his/her parents.
I am willing to give the first lesson free.
