Bilge is an internationally trained, passionate, and innovative music teacher enthusiastic about giving personalized lessons that complement all skills in life.
Born in Turkey, and currently based in London, Bilge received her double Bachelor's degree in Music, and Political Science at Haverford College in Philadelphia (USA); before completing a Master's in Music Performance focusing on the Voice at the University of Oxford with Distinction.
In addition to 5+ years of private tutoring across the world, Bilge has been regularly teaching one-to-one piano and singing to students from age 5 to 55 at a music school in South London.
Bilge also led choral workshops and rehearsals of 30+ as voice- part leader of Bogazici choirs; instructed music theory, songwriting, piano, and singing for local students at Oxford ages 2-10; and musically directed the vocal ensemble Chaverim at Haverford College.
Able to adjust to a variety of learning styles, Bilge likes to tap into the unique needs and tendencies of her students to curate the most inspiring and accessible lesson model. From improvisatory practices to physical warm-ups to optimize embodied learning, Bilge likes to experiment with the learning space to make sure the skills that come with music tuition can be implemented holistically in life.
