Ben tutored my son in english. We only started working with Ben a couple of months before the exams. He managed to get my son to have an interest in a subject, that he was really struggling with, and gave him a belief that he could get to grips with english. Ben was kind and patient and really flexible with the timings for the lessons. My son achieved a really good pass. I dont think he would have achieved this without Ben's support. Thank you.

Ben is a great tutor and has helped my son with English immensely. My son really enjoys his lessons and we can clearly see the improvement in his performance. I would definitely recommend Ben to other parents and students.

Benjamin is one of the best tutors we have ever had! He tutored my son for English and Latin GCSE over the past year. He is the most understanding, patient tutor, very professional, always accommodating, explains things in pupil terms, unlike impatient teachers - and is so helpful. My son always looked forward to his tutor lessons, as he structured them very well, especially as my son had ADHD - Ben is always encouraging, and gives feedback constructively to parents and the pupil to help them achieve their goals and be the best they can be. Ben has helped my son improve his results from a 4 in English to a 6, and a 3 in Latin to a 6. I cannot recommend him enough!

Ben worked online with my son to prepare him for his GCSE Classics and English Literature papers.
Ben quickly assessed the areas where my son required assistance and was able to work on these areas, and right across the syllabus, to build on my son's knowledge and confidence in both subjects.
Ben was able to establish an excellent professional relationship with son which was a massive help to boost his confidence going into the exams and I feel sure his grades will reflect the depth of Ben's knowledge in tutoring in both subjects.
Ben was also very flexible and rearranged his timetable to accommodate when my son's circumstances changed.

Benjamin is an excellent tutor who is currently coaching my daughter for her GCSE. Within 3 months she has jumped up 2 grades and is now finding Latin easier than before. I would highly recommend him.

Ben is teaching me writing techniques and how to analyse text. English isn't my favorite subject but Ben has really helped explain different techniques and skills and has gone into more depth than my teacher would have time to do at school!

Can’t praise Ben enough for the care and attention he puts into teaching our son who is dyslexic. He’s tutoring him in GCSE English and Latin and it has made a huge difference to our son’s confidence and self belief. Ben is very patient, tailors each lesson to his specific needs and provides regular feedback. He also has a great sense of humour, and our son really enjoys the lessons. Ben is a very experienced Latin teacher. My son enjoys his lessons and has made great progress.

My son Hugo started the tuition with Ben from October 2021 and he's been very happy with the session since day 1. Hugo was really struggling with English/Literature and completely lost interest and confidence in the subject, but he's already started to get a little interested in Shakespere and getting a little more confident. Hugo said that Ben always answers his questions in easy-to-understand manner and the session is very informative. As a parent, I'm happy with Ben, too, I feel he is a very reliable tutor, he is polite, punctual and good at communicating. I would highly recommend him.

Ben has been helping my daughter with her Classical Civilisation A level. We have been very pleased with the work so far. Ben has helped to instil confidence in her through simple and effective explanation of the texts and their context. He is proactive at exploring areas of weakness and tailoring the work covered in sessions accordingly. We highly value his support.

Ben's been a great A level classics tutor for my son, who feels more confident after every session with him. His grades started to increase after only a few sessions, and continue to do so. Ben knows the sylabus, and the exam board's expectations, inside out.

Ben is an excellent English tutor. With his help, my son’s GCSE English grades improved from level 4 to 7. Ben’s teaching style is calm and engaging which suits both my, very shy, children perfectly.

Ben has helped two of my boys with their GCSE English, the elder son got two A's in his GCSE exams, which surpassed his expectations. Hopefully, his younger sibling can emulate the elder brother this year.

Excellent Latin tutor who takes time to explain the concepts behind the language thoroughly

Ben has been tutoring both our sons for a while now, one is 6 and the other 8. Ben is a great tutor and teacher, we have seen a considerable and marked improvement in both their English and Maths work. They have an increased confidence and understanding of both subjects and are much more motivated to learn. I definitely recommend Ben as tutor, he knows how to bring out the best in a student.

Without doubt, Benjamin has achieved excellent results as a tutor over the last two years with both my sons. In an education system where children's potential can be missed, he evaluated them individually, building on strengths and finding ways to iron out problem areas that needed to be addressed. He has a passion for his subject, which reflected in how my son's, as students, responded so positively to him and consequently their English studies. I cannot recommend Benjamin highly enough as a consummate professional, who helped my sons take their studies from mediocre, foundation C - D grades to brilliant B and A* examination results. That simply speaks for itself.

Ben is an excellent tutor for both Latin and English GCSE. He has an extensive knowledge of the exam board requirements and is always punctual for lessons. He gives plenty of feedback after each lesson and couldn't be more helpful in fitting in additional lessons at short notice. He connects well with my son and adapts the lessons to my son's learning style. My son always really enjoys his lessons with Ben and his work has improved considerably since Ben has been teaching him. I would highly recommend him.

Ben has made a great connection with my son, with whom he is working on GCSE English studies. My son lacks confidence sometimes and I was concerned about how he would interact with someone he didnt know - however, I have been really pleased with the way Ben has worked with him. I am glad that Ben is supporting my son through some of the tricky areas he is struggling with and I am confident that this will result in a good outcome when exam times come.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Ben.
