A qualified teacher with extensive experience supporting the learning needs of individuals from KS2 (Primary) to KS5 (A Level). I specialise in Maths and Psychology, however, I have a variety of skills and experience (stemming from a scientific background, professional development, and undergraduate and Masters level degrees) that enable me to effectively support learning across the Sciences, English, and ICT/Computer Science.
Having worked in education for several years, I am privileged to have had the opportunity to teach and facilitate learning in children of all abilities, including special educational needs (SEN) groups. I have led a department within school in order to develop a stimulating and dynamic approach to learning that best meets the needs of students.
I have 4 years of teaching/tutoring small groups and 1-to-1 lessons. This is valuable experience that has allowed me opportunities to draw upon a range of resources and teaching strategies, as well as recognise the importance of developing trusting relationships and rapport conducive to learning.
A calm and personalised approach to tutoring that supports learning through open and trusting collaboration whilst remaining sensitive to the individualised needs of students. A blended digital and paper-based approach to tutoring.
(Proof of qualifications can be supplied during first in-person session).
