I am a full time Mathematics teacher at a successful secondary school in Birmingham. I have been teaching Mathematics since 1998 working with pupils of all abilities in the age range of 11 to 19 years old.
I have been Head of a Mathematics department and an examiner at GCSE level for Edexcel.
I have also tutored pupils online since 2020 in both GCSE Mathematics and Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core maths)
I have 25 years experience of teaching Mathematics in secondary school. I have been an examiner for Edexcel and have tutored online.
I believe that I am a friendly and professional tutor and that Mathematics is something that pupils should feel successful at regardless of their ability. Many pupils find Mathematics daunting but I am regularly told "I understand it now" which is one of the most rewarding things to hear as a teacher.
I can look at what a pupil needs to work on and set up a weekly plan with them but I'm also flexible in that I can help them if they have a test they need to prep for or a particular topic that they want help on.
I have 4 years of online tuition experience and use a graphics tablet to demonstrate examples along with the usual PowerPoints and past exam questions.
