I have been a secondary maths teacher for over 16 years delivering high-quality lessons to a wide range of students and abilities. It is a subject that I enjoy and one that I am keen for others to also enjoy and be successful at.

Tutoring Experience

My first teaching post was a girls grammar school in Birmingham. I then taught overseas for five years at an International School. For the past 8 years I have been teaching at an independent school in Birmingham. I have taught students from Year 7 to Year 13 including GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and International Baccalaureate (standard and higher level). In August 2024, all 25 students in my Year 11 class achieved a Grade 9 in their IGCSE mathematics.

Tutoring Approach

I have a calm, patient approach and I am able to break down barriers and improve a student's confidence in the subject, irrespective of their age or ability. I am professional, punctual and reliable and will ensure that any student improves their understanding and attainment under my tuition. I have an extremely thorough knowledge of all GCSE, A level and IB syllabuses.
