Hi everyone,
So I have a lot of experience teaching Piano and Saxophone from a few years ago, but in the last 2 years I have been a professional sax player, playing sax in many of London's top end venues as well as internationally. I'm extremely sociable, friendly and love teaching people of all levels and ages.
I started the piano at the age of 5 years old and the sax when I was 12. I went on to study at the renowned Chethams School Of Music when I was 16, studying both jazz and classical music on both instruments. At the age of 20 I was then accepted into Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts where I mainly studied jazz on both instruments.
After graduating for LIPA, I then went on to teach students in Liverpool as well as gig on the sax,and then in 2013 I moved down to London to carry on teaching in various schools around London, as well as play sax at some top end venues in London.
Teaching experience includes teaching at North London Performing Arts Centre in Muswell Hill, Fullbrook Secondary School in Surrey and Frederick Bremmer School in Walthamstow.
In terms of my approach my aim is to make the students feel at ease. I would like to think of myself as a very personable person, and so students are normally very relaxed with myself. I want to teach them what they want to learn in terms of genre, whether that be classical music, jazz improvisation or learning commercial songs. I'm also happy to prepare and enter students to do their ABRSM Graded exams, of which I have experience in doing from previous schools I've taught at.
