For over 15 years, I have been teaching teenagers and adults how to use their strengths to gain success in new subjects. It always puts a smile on my face when I see the student's doubts transform into confidence as they realise: AH! I get this now or WOW! I can write and I am creative

My enthusiasm for teaching is still as strong as it ever was, and I am looking forward to helping you move forward in your subject!

Tutoring Experience

Before my teaching career, I worked in hospitality management. I was able to apply the skills I learned in my degree regularly, and from here, I saw the benefits of working hard to develop weak points.

During my last management position, I started working with a lot of non-native English speakers, and by helping them overcome language barriers, I discovered a love for teaching.

So, I decided to take a TEFL course, and I started my teaching career in 2007 in Thailand. For over 10 years, my focus was on English as a second language. In that time, I worked in China, Japan, Thailand and the UK. I have always enjoyed helping students get past the language and cultural barriers to develop their English skills.

Since I returned to the UK, I have been helping students to gain more confidence and improve their application in Business Studies, English Language and English Literature. This rewarding job has enabled me to work with some amazing kids who just needed a bit more focus to get to the level they didn't believe they could.

I also support adults and teenagers prepare for interviews, create speeches and videos. So, please get in touch if you have a speaking or presentation gig coming up that you are currently in a mad panic about!

Tutoring Approach

I believe empowering the students to achieve the best results they can. Using a holistic approach, I find out how the student likes to learn and what things they like before moving forward. From there, I can tailor the classes to their individual needs. No one student is the same, and my classes reflect that.

I specialise in helping students become more confident in the subject by focusing on real-world applications and examples.

I am available for classes in the Coventry and Leamington Spa area, as well as online.
