I’m 31 years old and a fully registered chemistry teacher who has a number of years experience teaching both National 5 and Higher chemistry, as well as experience marking for the SQA at both levels. I completed my Masters degree in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde, running alongside studying my PGDE. I graduated in July 2015 and began teaching in August 2015.

Tutoring Approach

Relaxed approach, happy to answer questions, provide questions or clarify notes. I generally work on a week to week basis; first of all establishing areas that the student wants to work on and then coaching them through problems and often leave questions to try throughout the week. I’ll often ask focus questions from past papers, and use my marking experience to provide feedback on how to structure their answers.
