Hi, my name is Arriana and I am a passionate second year Biomedical Science student at the University of Sheffield.
Having only recently completed my GCSE and A Levels, I understand the challenges that students may face, such as difficult concepts, application exam questions as well as managing time between subjects.
I am an approachable, friendly and patient individual and am happy to work at the pace that is best for each student and answer any questions that they might have, while ensuring that they understand each topic fully.
I will ensure our lessons are interactive, helpful and as enjoyable as possible :)

Tutoring Experience

With two years of dedicated tutoring experience, I have successfully tutored many students in both Biology and Chemistry at KS3, GCSE and A Level.

My approach is tailored to cater to students of all abilities, ensuring each individual receives personalized attention to maximize their learning potential.
I adapt my teaching methods to suit the unique needs of each student, taking into account their preferred learning style and the requirements of their specific exam board.
I am flexible with timings, and also provide lessons of 1.5 hours which have been effective with students to cover both content and application thoroughly within the lesson.

Tutoring Approach

In our initial lesson, each student's objectives and preferred learning approaches will be discussed and together we will create a tailored action plan for them to achieve their desired goal.
I adapt the learning techniques used to each student, such as explaining concepts through exam board specific flashcards I have created, diagrams, worksheets, application exam style questions and past papers. Additionally for AQA Chemistry and Biology GCSE and A Level students, I have dedicated exam style question banks specifically targeted for practise. This ensures that the student grasps the core concepts effectively with ample application/exam style practise to ensure the student understands what each exam board specifically is looking for and help them to achieve their full potential, making the exams seem less scary!
