I am a certified secondary school teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University and a Master's degree in Education. I earned above a 90% grade in all my university math courses and I have taught students of all levels including 11+, GCSE, A-level, and university engineering.
My students know that I am friendly, patient, and approachable; I aim to build a positive relationship with each pupil that I teach. I empathize with the struggles often associated with learning and my teaching style lends itself to creating a supportive and enjoyable environment that challenges pupils to reach their full potential.
First, I assess the student's current skill level, and then all my lessons are tailored to the student's abilities. Sessions can be either in person or online using the latest technology and tools, making the lessons both interactive and convenient. In addition, I incorporate the appropriate worksheets for every lesson depending on the subject area and level.
I began tutoring students when I was an undergraduate myself 10 years ago and I became a certified teacher 3 years ago. For the past 10 years, I have taught all various age groups ranging from year 7 years old to A-level in UK secondary schools. Recently, I started focusing on online tutoring as well and started my own YouTube channel. In addition, I support university engineering students with their admission statements, assignments, or projects.
I would describe my teaching style as being highly adaptable. I do not give credence to one teaching method or one way of interacting with students. Whether in the classroom or online, each class is different therefore so is each lesson, and a good teacher should always adjust their approach to their audience, the level of skills in the class, the difficulty of the lesson, and so on. I simply prefer to give the students real-life scenarios and motivate them to visualize the solution on their terms. I try to meet the student where they are and help them to move incrementally forward to reach their goals, modifying my approach is needed.
