I am an enthusiastic, patient, well-qualified practising primary school teacher with many years experience of teaching children aged 4-11yrs. I love teaching and particularly enjoy witnessing the children's excitement and pleasure at their increased confidence and ability over the course of the sessions.

Tutoring Experience

As well as being a practising primary teacher, I have been working successfully as a maths and English tutor for the past 9 years – tutoring children of a variety of ages and abilities including those who have fallen behind for a variety of reasons and need extra help as well as others who are doing well and need further extension and stimulation. KS2 SATs preparation are a particular specialism.

Tutoring Approach

I have excellent knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum; Maths and English SATs; as well as the particular methods currently taught in primary schools.
My years of experience have provided me with a wealth of creative strategies to help children fulfil their highest potential within a professional environment in which they feel happy, confident and secure.
