I am a mum to three daughters, who loves maths and running! I completed my degree in Accounting, Financial Management and Mathematics in 2002 in Sheffield, and became a secondary school maths teacher in 2004. I tutor during school hours and term time, for children who are home educated, or college students taking GCSE maths resit who have some hours free from college/sixth form during the day.
I have five years experience teaching maths to children of all abilities from ages 11-18 in secondary schools in Leicester and York, and five years experience tutoring both primary and secondary age children on a one to one basis. In the past five years I have worked with higher level GCSE students, helped college students pass GCSE resits, and worked with children with autism and dyscalculia.
I am kind, calm and patient, and am able to adapt my teaching to my pupils' needs, in order to ensure they have a full understanding of each topic and are able to progress confidently in mathematics. I can teach one on one, or in small groups.
