I am a female tutor looking to be of help where ever I can. I have a degree in Forensic Science and studied Biology, Chemistry and Psychology for my A levels. I know first hand how difficult the jump from KS3 to GCSE and then to A level is, and actually had some extra tutoring in chemistry myself which was the best thing I could have done. Hopefully I can put my knowledge to good use.
I am a qualified secondary school science teacher. I am also Assistant Headteacher in charge of behaviour and attendance and Head of BTEC Applied Science. I have experience teaching all 3 sciences up to GCSE but specialise mainly in Chemistry and Psychology for AS and A level is this is my degree field. I have been in my current post since July 2012.
I aim to provide a relaxed atmosphere to learn in, I am very patient and abit of a perfectionist so would not be satisfied with myself if I didnt give each one of my students the opportunity to challenge themselves to reach their full potential.
I am a likeable individual which I find is important when teaching, and also I try to make learning as fun as possible by finding alternative ways to present information as each child is stimulated to learn in different ways. The sciences can be quite complex to teach and learn so finding the way that best suits your child is my goal.
