We chose Andy because he's a specialist maths teacher who taught at a very good local school - many of the tutors we saw advertising are maths students, but we wanted someone who we were confident could assess and explain.

Andy is friendly and patient and really good at explaining mathematical concepts. In the two years he has worked with our son he has massively increased his confidence in maths, and boosted his results. We're very happy to recommend him to other parents.

Since starting her tutoring sessions with Andy my daughter’s confidence and knowledge with A level maths has gone from strength to strength and this has made so much difference to her when sitting her A level maths exams.

My daughter really enjoyed Andy’s style of teaching, with clear concise explanations of the most complex of topics. She was always comfortable to question as and when required as well.

My son has really grown in confidence with Andrew’s support. He now enjoys his maths and feels he can tackle all aspects of the subject. Andrew has been able to reinforce areas as well as pre-teach content which has meant that rather than falling behind, my son is sailing ahead. Andrew has been tutoring my son online weekly for much of year 11. Lucas has made progress, enjoyed the sessions and is now preparing to start A Level maths in September. More recently during the COVID 19 lockdown my daughter and her former have had paired online lessons with Andrew. Despite their varing abilities, they have both loved having lessons together and Andrew has made sure they are both challenged at their own levels. My kids think he is great. Andrew you were amazing with our daughter. We cannot thank you enough. When she met you at the beginning of the year she was scoring a level 2 in her maths mock papers. With your patience, help and friendly informal manner she changed from not wanting a tutor with the attitude she just could not do maths and you wouldn't be able to help her to actually enjoying her sessions with you. You went above and beyond to help her by setting her homework and deadlines - which she needed. You knew exactly how to push her in the right way to get her to work for you and it worked. Coming out of the GCSE foundation paper with the highest achievable level - being a 5 - was super considering lots of the curriculum was not even in the exam papers and the pupils all saying how much harder they found the actually exam itself to any previous mock papers they had completed. All we can say is thank you so much. We would recommend you to anyone without hesitation.

Joe is finding his sessions with Andrew so helpful. I think his tuition is going to make a huge difference to his overall A level grade. Andrew uses teaching techniques Joe has not come across before and his understanding is dramatically improving. He is also a really nice, friendly person so Joe enjoys their lessons.
