Tutoring Experience

Since I started my current post in 2017, every single year has resulted in students achieving a positive value added score meaning they achieved better than similar students did nationally; even in August 2023 where results for most subjects nationally were down significantly, both of my Economics groups achieved positive value added. I have been teaching Economics for 15 years. I am a former AQA examiner for A-level Economics. I have taught in both England and Guangzhou, China. I am currently teaching Edexcel Economics A-level as Curriculum Lead for Business and Economics at a high performing state school.

Tutoring Approach

I will tailor my sessions to your individual needs. I do focus a lot on exam technique as I feel this is often the most fundamental tool in achieving the highest possible grade. I am also happy for you to ask lots of questions to help to tackle any gaps in your knowledge.
