Bolton Latin and Greek (Ancient) Tutor

I graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA in Classics in 2012 and an MA at Distinction level in Classics and Ancient History in 2018. I am passionate about the ancient world and also enabling students to realise their full potential in these subjects.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Classical Civilisation at two large sixth form colleges in the north west and have tutored privately for a number of years. I have also acted as an examiner for both major exam boards that offer Classics (AQA and OCR), as well as acting as a course reviewer for a distance learning company, helping to bring their Classical Civilisation materials up to date and in line with the most recent specification (for first teaching in Sept. 2017).

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is fairly traditional, but student-led in terms of where the student wants to focus his or her time, e.g. general exam practice, problems with particular aspects of grammar etc.
