Maths and Physics Tuition in Edinburgh

I am an international student studying Mechanical and Electrical engineering at the University of Edinburgh. I am from Egypt but have lived the past 5 years in South Africa and before that the UAE. I did A-levels in South Africa achieving A*AA in Chemistry, Math and Physics also achieving top chemistry student for two consecutive years. I also have certifications in Corporate Strategy, Supply chain management, financing and investing in Infrastructure, python and statistics for financial analysis and the sustainable development goals. The reason I mention this is because I pride myself in being a learning machine and I absolutely love learning, and I want to provide this same feeling, passion and experience with learning that I have with others as most students currently find studying and school to be a chore and I want to change that.

Tutoring Experience

I have only been teaching family, family friends and friends at the GCSE level and Chemistry A-level for the past year. I am also currently enrolled on a volunteering program where I tutor Syrian refugees.

Tutoring Approach

I believe practice is the most crucial aspect in actually seeing results. We will spend a lesson or the first half of the lesson completely teaching the topic for the full understanding of it, then I will be moving on to past paper questions specifically on said topic where I will go through some questions myself with the student and then the student will do some on their own so we can see if they actually grasped the topic. This process will be repeated until the syllabus is finished and when that happens, we will repeatedly keep doing past paper questions over and over till the day of the exam. This approach is strictly for most students however not every student is the same and some may need/want other things to be achieved so I am able to alter this for the student.
