I lived, worked and studied in Belgium and France for a number of years before completing my PhD in French (literature) at Durham University. Now based in Knaresborough, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and love of French with other learners and draw on my own positive experiences of language learning to provide an enjoyable learning experience which can be tailored to meet the various needs and expectations of my students.
I have taught French to undergraduates at Durham University (2009-2013) and the University of York (2012-2014). I am now Lecturer in French at the Sheffield Business School (Sheffield Hallam University). I have also provided one-to-one tuition to students of a variety of backgrounds, levels and ages.
I am extremely flexible, and adapt my methods to suit a variety of different learning styles. I believe that enjoyment is an integral part of the learning experience and one which, in my experience, tends to deliver the best results.
