Originally from Brighton, I have lived in Norfolk for eleven years after moving here with my two children from Essex, where I grew up. Prior to training as a teacher I worked in London in international banking. Quite a change but I have never looked back - teaching has its challenges that is for sure but the rewards are far greater. In my free time I enjoy yoga, cooking, running and escaping to the beach as often as possible. Luckily we have plenty of beautiful beaches to choose from here in Norfolk. I also love just spending time with my family and friends - near and far.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 23 years of experience teaching across the primary age range from Reception to Year 6. I have tutored many students over the years with very positive feedback. I now specialise in Maths to GCSE, CSSE 11+ and Year 6 SATs both 1:1 and small groups. If your child needs extra support or just a boost in confidence please get in touch.

Tutoring Approach

I like to pride myself on the positive relationship I build with my students and their carers, working very much as a partnership to develop and build on their skills and confidence. We all learn in different ways so I feel it is important for me as a tutor to be able to adapt my teaching to the needs and preferred learning styles of my pupils. I like to make my sessions fun, enjoyable and engaging. Being happy, motivated and understanding that it is ok to get it wrong because that is how we become successful.
As well as teaching pupils I am also more than happy to help parents too. So if you would like to brush up on your literacy or numeracy skills to better support your child please do not hesitate to ask.
