I have been working at a school for the past three years, gaining valuable experience and am currently pursuing my teaching degree. I am passionate about creating a positive learning environment and supporting students, especially those from diverse backgrounds. I make an effort to connect with students by learning a few words in their native languages, which helps to build trust and make them feel more comfortable. This experience has further strengthened my ability to adapt to each child’s unique needs and create engaging, personalised lessons that support both their academic and personal growth.

Tutoring Experience

For the past two years, I have solely been covering classes across the whole curriculum, teaching pupils from Year 1 to Year 6. This role has allowed me to develop flexibility and confidence in managing diverse groups of students. I am responsible for delivering lessons in various subjects, including Maths, English, Geography, and Computing, ensuring that students remain engaged and continue learning. This experience has allowed me to further develop my skills in classroom management and adapting my teaching methods to meet the needs of different age groups. Through this role, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the overall teaching process and have built confidence in delivering independent lessons to a wide range of students.

Tutoring Approach

I use a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, collaborative learning, and visual aids, to ensure all learning styles are supported. I also focus on making lessons relevant and enjoyable, connecting new concepts to real-world situations to spark curiosity. In addition, I place a strong emphasis on building strong relationships with my students, learning about their interests and backgrounds, and using this knowledge to tailor lessons that are both engaging and meaningful. This holistic approach helps to develop not just academic skills, but also confidence, creativity, and a love for learning.
