Alice

Alice is simply an excellent tutor. My daughter has started fortnightly lessons with Alice over a year ago when in year 8. She is now in Y10 and preparing for her GCSEs.
Alice is very friendly and patient. But also efficient and flexible to my daughter's needs: helping her revise for exams , selecting the right material to support her course work at school but also expanding her knowledge in some topics.
Another huge positive, in our busy family life, is that Alice is always approachable and flexible when it comes to scheduling the lessons.
My daughter likes attending her lessons and we are very glad to have Alice as our daughter's Spanish tutor. Thank you Alice for all your hard work!

Having learned some Spanish before, I felt I needed to improve and strengthen my basic understanding of the language and widen my vocabulary considerably.
Working with Alice is enabling me to achieve this as she has tailored our classes to meet my specific needs, building on my existing knowledge and helping me grow with confidence. I find the homework tasks particularly useful.
Alice teaches in a very relaxed, informal, friendly manner and time just seems to fly in the lesson. I am enjoying our lessons very much.

Alice is a fantastic tutor having tutored two of my four children ( one at A level and one at GCSE) My youngest will begin to have tutor sessions soon for help with his GCSE.
You will not find a more accommodating and organised teacher who immediately puts the student at ease, even when they totally lack confidence in their own abilities, this is so important with languages! There is a feeling of continuity with regular work set in between sessions and this ensures quicker progress. I would thoroughly recommend Alice.

I’ve been doing lessons with Alice for approximately a year now and the improvement in not only my understanding and knowledge of the language, is nothing to the confidence she has given me. Alice teaches in a laid back manner, which allowed you to feel relaxed and genuinely enjoy the lessons and the learning.The lessons link together in a structured manner so what you’ve learned a few weeks ago, links into what you’re learning now. Gradually bringing you into full sentences and conversation.

When lockdown happened I figured our lessons might have to come to an end temporarily, but Alice went above and beyond to find a way to do the lessons online so I could continue my learning.

Alice provides professional yet laid back lessons which she tailors to your abilities and requirements from the lessons. She plans accordingly and provides worksheets, listening exercises and verbal communication. We have recently started to do the lessons in full Spanish which allows you to hear spanish words that you are not familiar with (don’t worry a simple “no entiendo” and alice will quickly switch back to english and explain what she’s saying).
