I am a specialist literacy teacher and I develop the core skills and strategies that will allow your child to reach their full potential. My class is not a 'catch up class' or 'study skills': it is an individually tailored programme that strengthens those areas of cognition that are holding back your child's literacy development. I only work with children who are struggling with literacy and generally I focus on the primary years. No diagnosis is necessary, but it can be helpful.
I am an experienced, UK-qualified teacher and dyslexia specialist (who is dyslexic). I have specialised in supporting children with dyslexia and literacy difficulties for ten years. I provide specialist 1-1 programmes, focusing on early intervention, integrated homeschool learning, dyslexia with English as an addition language, and literacy difficulties as part of complex needs.
I provide a fun and effective individualised programme built to meet your child’s specific needs. I take an evidenced based, multisensory, systematic synthetic phonics-based approach to developing core literacy skills. My individual programmes are explicit, multisensory, sequential and structured. I use specialist, high quality DyslexicLogic resources and maintain a focus on building confidence as well as academic success.
