Hello, I am Alexandra. I am an experienced Teacher of English and have been teaching for 5 years. I am a positive, caring and enthusiastic teacher that loves to help and encourage others. I have taught an age range of children from Year 1 to Year 11/12.
I have been a teacher for 5 years and currently work in an SEN setting for children with learning difficulties. I have experience of teaching both Primary and Secondary English in line with the National Curriculum. I am passionate about tailoring learning to different styles and allowing students to build their confidence through tailored learning approaches. I have been responsible for supporting outcomes across school as the Coordinator of English and have supported other teachers through mentoring programmes and appraisals. I have introduced new curriculums with improved outcomes in reading and writing across Key stages and in assessments.
Since gaining QTS, I have been passionate about tailoring learning to individual students and fostering a curiosity for learning. My philosophy is embedded in valuing children to develop the confidence to increase their well-being and their intrinsic motivation to develop and learn. I aim to provide a positive learning environment with high-quality learning resources where students feel motivated to learn.
