My name is Alexander Leithes and I am a Physics, Maths and Theory of Knowledge teacher, until recently working in London at The Godolphin and Latymer School, a prestigious independent school. I am currently pursuing a full-time PhD in Cosmology at Queen Mary, University of London.
My current research is into Dark Energy and Dark Matter and the effect these have on the formation of structure within the universe. Please look at my academic webpage for more details on the research I have done and am currently involved in.

I am also a published author and more details can be found via sites such as amazon.
I have over fourteen years of teaching experience, in GCSE, iGCSE, A-level, International Baccalaureate Standard and Higher level Physics and also International Baccalaureate Theory of Knowledge. Consequently I have a substantial array of teaching resources, practice questions and answers and experience of seeing the difficulties of students and helping them better access concepts and solve problems in these disciplines. Additionally, my research is highly mathematical in nature and I am currently tutoring in calculus and other related courses for the undergraduates at Queen Mary. As such I can also offer A-level and IB Maths tutoring if required.
I am based in Crystal Palace and will happily travel to students within a reasonable distance in central and greater London. Alternatively, it is possible to organise sessions in mutually convenient central London locations which I have access to, for example Queen Mary University library. I feel it is important to have full details of the syllabus a particular student is following prior to the first tutoring session so that the sessions can be tailored as specifcally as possible to the individual student and so time is not wasted in a given session.
