I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Bath, currently going into my second year studying Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. I attended Wallington County Grammar School, one of the most selective grammar schools in the UK, where I achieved AAB in A-level Maths, Physics and Biology, alongside completing an EPQ on the ethics of genetic engineering. At GCSE level, I earned 12 qualifications, including eight at grades 9–7, with 9s in Maths and Physics. I’ve been awarded the prestigious Gold Scholarship at Bath, recognising both my academic potential and leadership skills. I have a deep passion for STEM subjects and a strong ability to communicate ideas clearly, which I aim to share through tutoring. Tutoring Experience

I have over a year of tutoring experience, primarily focused on GCSE Maths and Physics. My previous students have shown significant improvement, with several achieving top grades (including grade 9s) after working with me. I’m confident in my ability to explain difficult topics in a clear, step-by-step way and adapt to the needs of different learners. My experience comes not just from teaching but also from understanding how it feels to be in the student’s position. As someone who recently completed GCSEs and A levels at a highly competitive grammar school, I know exactly how to guide students through exam content, build effective study habits, and improve performance under pressure. I’ve also supported peers and younger students throughout school in both academic and mentoring roles, which taught me how to motivate and connect with learners from a wide range of backgrounds.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring style is calm, friendly and focused on building confidence. I tailor every session to the individual student’s needs — whether that means working through difficult past paper questions, reviewing foundational concepts, or improving exam technique. I place a strong emphasis on making sure students not only memorise the material but genuinely understand it. I break down complex topics into clear steps and encourage questions throughout to keep lessons interactive and engaging. I also like to include small challenges to test understanding and highlight areas for improvement in a supportive way. I believe in celebrating progress, no matter how small, and helping students see their own growth over time. My goal is for every student to come away from each session feeling more confident and more in control of their learning. For GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics, I can provide both academic support and strategic exam preparation.
