Tutoring Experience

A I have taught and mentored graduates in high level maths throughout my working life. For the past five years I have been teaching students in maths and Science from Year 8 through GCSE to A level. It has been very rewarding to see my students achieve the levels they sought.

Tutoring Approach

A I offer a completely tailored approach to tutoring. I have experience teaching children of all abilities from the naturally talented to those who struggle to grasp the basics. Through careful analysis and understanding I determine each student's individual needs and tailor classes to address those needs. My teaching style comes from understanding the needs
of my own children - one who found maths incredibly easy and the other who had learning difficulties and found the whole process of working with numbers a huge challenge. I work to reinforce those areas where a student is weak while at the same time challenging those who can work at a higher level than required.
I am more than happy to teach in a student's home where they feel relaxed and comfortable. Parents are welcome to accompany their children and observe my teaching methods. It is vitally important to me that each of my students feel totally relaxed so that they can express themselves and get the most out of their lessons to achieve their potential.
